Pub Night - March 7, 2009


Advance Screening of Wayne Dyer Movie for Charity Fund Raiser
On Saturday, January 10th, 2008 Africa Book Project collaborated with two other charities to bring the advance screening to Calgary.

Dr. Wayne Dyer's first movie Ambition to Meaning, Finding Your Life's Purpose debuted in Calgary to raise funds for projects in Africa.  Dr. Dyer is an internationally renowned author and speaker in the field of self-development.  He's the author of 30 books and has appeared on thousands of television and radion shows.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
This fundraising event marked a collaborative effort between The Africa Book Project, True Vision Ghana and The Fountaine Children's Charity Foundation.   All three Calgary-based organizations operate development projects in Africa.

Kananaskis Country Christmas 2008
On November 16th and 17th, 2008 Africa Book Project participated in the Kananaskis Country Christmas Fine Art and Craft show.   All funds raised went directly to our projects.  Thanks to everyone who came out.

First Annual Garage Sale Fundraiser
On August 16th, 2008 Africa Book Project held our first annual garage sale fundraiser at St. Andrews Heights Community Association.  All funds raised will go directly to our projects. 

Afrikadey
On August 9th, 2008 Africa Book Project took part in the Afrikdey! Festival held at Prince's Island Park, by hosting a community booth. Volunteers enjoyed the sunshine while providing information on the work of Africa Book Project.

Stampede Silent Auction and Raffle
On July 4, 2008 Africa Book Project took part in a Stampede Kickoff Party hosted by Jon Lord. In true Stampede fashion, country music, cowboy hats and wranglers were aplenty! Africa Book Project volunteers held a silent auction and a 50/50 draw to raise funds. The evening was a great success with over $1600 being raised. Many thanks to Jon Lord for inviting us to the party!!

Dinner and Dance
On March 25, 2007, in conjunction with the Afghan Education Project, we held  a dinner and dance at The Hotel Arts. It was a small event that raised some funds that were put towards our shipment to Zanzibar.
